What is Karam Platform?
Karam is a Saudi platform connecting host families in Makkah and Madinah with visitors and tourism companies, offering an authentic and safe hospitality experience.
How do I register on the platform?
Click "Create Account" on the homepage, choose an account type (family / visitor / company), and complete the required information.
Is the platform safe?
Yes, we use top security standards to protect your data and financial transactions. All families undergo review and approval before acceptance.
Which cities are available?
Currently Makkah and Madinah, with plans to expand to other cities soon.
For Families
How do I register as a host family?
Register as a family and complete the required information; our team reviews your request within 24-48 hours. You then complete the reception-protocol training before your account is activated.
What is the platform commission?
The platform commission is 25% of the booking value, covering all services and technical support. If you register through a marketer's link, a commission is deducted from your share for that marketer: 10% of the value of your first paid booking and 1% of every paid booking after it (before VAT), as set out in the marketing programme terms.
When do I receive my earnings?
Earnings are transferred to your wallet immediately after the booking is completed. You can request a withdrawal once your balance reaches 500 SAR.
Can I pause my account temporarily?
Yes, you can pause your majlis availability temporarily from the dashboard without canceling your account.
For Visitors
How do I book a majlis?
Search for a suitable majlis, choose a date and time, add it to your cart, and complete payment.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, according to the cancellation policy in the Terms of Use — the refund ranges from 100% to 0% depending on cancellation timing.
What if I'm not satisfied with the experience?
You can file a complaint through the platform, and it will be reviewed within 24 hours. Your satisfaction is our priority.
Can I book more than one majlis?
Yes, you can add multiple majalis to your cart and pay for them all at once.
Payment
What payment methods are available?
Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay, and STC Pay via a secure, approved payment gateway.
Is payment secure?
Yes, we use an approved, encrypted payment gateway that meets the highest PCI DSS security standards.
How do I request a refund?
From the bookings page, click cancel booking, and the refund will be processed automatically according to the policy.
When will the refund arrive?
Usually within 5-7 business days depending on the issuing bank.
